Truly enough, Mazda RX8 came out with better performance and appearance. Although it still uses standard Wankel rotary engine, the RX8 has an enhanced 16V Renesis engine. The earlier RX models use 13V, so the rotary engine displacing 1.3 liters of fuel that can yield 237 horsepower. But the RX8 model, the 16V Renesis engine is capable of producing 238hp and 1.6 liter displacement.

Another particular feature of the Mazda RX8 balance its weight from front to back. Weight of the car is almost evenly distributed in an almost even distribution before 50:50 at mid-section. The near perfect balance is attained due to the placing the engine behind the other front axle and the fuel tank in the middle, right before the rear axle.

The RX8's appearance is also quite unique. His door is almost like the suicide doors, just do not have B-pillars between front and back doors. Due to this, the other front overlap the rear doors and rear doors can be opened only once to the front door is open. Besides its unique appearance, the RX8 is great for four people. The front seat, more room is provided between the driver and the other front passenger, while the two rear passengers can comfortably serious.

The downside, the much-publicized Mazda RX8 seem not performed in accordance with expectations. The first ad by a 247hp ability of 6-speed manual transmission sports car raised some eyebrows. With its 1.6-liter engine, the 247hp power is rendered precarious. And it turned out that a number of owners RX8 is dismayed that the car does not make much power and speed as was published. Later, Mazda North America Office revised the output from 247hp to 238hp.

The soon-to-be-released 2008-2009 Mazda RX8 does not have many changes except that the chassis bracings increased to add restrictions and some other cosmetic changes whoch will make Mazda RX8 contract to hire a popular option. The 2008-2009 model will feature a two-rotor rotary engine to deliver better driving performance. The engine is smaller and lighter so promises the same speed, while providing more convenience.
